Hi again,

can you please give me a rough impression of how to set up the "mobile view"? I can find the mobile view settings in the template options, but I cannot figure out how to use it. In the mouseover balloon tip you state "enter the name of your select box" but I am not sure what this does mean.

Do you have any instructions for this mobile view setup? Or do I need any additional components?

Regrads, Martin

Hi Martin,
1.) Its the mobile menu name which will be shown if the theme is switching to LISTMENU in mobile view
All other mobile parameters must be changed @ the css files > tables.css / phone.css

Hi,

thanks for the reply. I just tried to follow your advice but I still do not get the point:

1. I created a second menu which I labeled "Mobile Menu"
2. I assigned the "Mobile Menue" at the template option "Mobile View"
3. I created a new menu module which I also labeled "Mobile Menu"
4. I assigned the module to the menu
5. I selected on which pages the menue shall be shown properly.
6. I have no idea to which position I shall assign the module...

Anyway, when I use my iPhone I feel the page doesn't even realize, that this is a mobile device calling for data. I still do not understand the mechanism telling the template to switch to the mobile view and what happens after this. I could figure out that there is a parameter which seems to call the phones.css but I cannot see any change in the content / appearance of the site when calling it from the mobile.

Is there any special module I need to install for the LISTMENU? Currently there is nothing available for Joomla 3.0.

Is this function depending on jQuery? I deactivated this to get the slideshow running.

Can you please give me some background information as I do not have any progress here?

Best regards, Martin

Hi again,
sorry maybe we talked against....

And I dont know what do you want to do and which result you want to have?

The mobile ( responsive) view are based on tablet.cc and phones.css.
And the mobile list menu will automatically generated with jQuery if the screens are are smaller then < 768px.

Hi,

thanks for the reply. Now things are getting more obvious.

I deactivated the jQuery in the template settings upon your request to get the jtSkitter slideshow working properly. You may remember my forum thread: JT Skitter Slideshow Module. The slideshow stayed black as long I had the jQuery activated (deactivating the jQuery in the jtSkitter module only did not help).

Now I am kind of stuck with this issue as I need to activate jQuery for the mobile view what in turn shuts down the jtSkitter module...

Any ideas?

Regards, Martin

Hi there,
please use the configuration as shown at the readme file.
1.) Activate the jquery from the template
2.) Deactivate the jquery from the skitter slideshow

OK, I tried again up on your request:

JQuery in template -> active
jQuery in JT Skitter -> off

now jtSkitter stays black again... Is there any update for this template?

/!
I still found two js scrpits loaded by the JTSkitter Module, however I am not sure if this may be the reason. pleas check atatched picture

Hi,

I changed the settings but JT still stays black.

I set up a test page to play around at www.mketest.abcde.biz where I could get you the login data by PM if you prefer to have an own look to the issue.

I still think there is the chance that I am just "to stupid" to set it up correctly.

Hi again and many thanks!

The "add body" setting in the JT Skitter Module did resolve the basic issue. Now JQuery is active at both the template and the JT skitter module, and the image slideshow is running fine as well.

Now to get back to my initial topic: As jQuery is active in the template and the skitter module the mobile view (LISTMENU) should be created automatically if the screen size of the device is smaller than 768 pixels, however this does not work when using e.g. my iPhone. As the iPhone5 has a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixel and the iPhone 4 uses 960 x 640 pixel, I guess the query interpretes this as > 768 pixels. Is this correct?

I just want to make sure, before editing the sources.

Thanks again and sorry for being "high maintenance",
Martin

Yes youre right, the new IPhone5 has a high resolution retina display and the media queries changes the screen width of the viewing browser screen.
You can see this at the tables.css or phone.css.
