Update templates question

Hi,
i am using your templates in version 1.14 and i feel that the templates has to be updated quite often.
Are these updates really necessary or can i also go along for some time with one version? Template updates come often together with a lot of effort when integration custom code or so and i am not sure if these updates are really because of bug fixing (means necessary) or additional functions (e.g. in astroid or new features, etc.) where i could avoid /pospone updating.
Next update for my internal planning would be only for Joomla 5...

My opinion:

With the important updates to the Astroid framework, the current template version should always be used.
To eliminate errors.
Nevertheless, you should ALWAYS use the latest versions!
 

Youre right, currently the template updates are very often.
But this is because of new Astroid version and Joomla 5.
I hope we dont have to uddate the templates in the future not that often anymore!!
