[SOLVED] Background images - how they work?

Hi,
I have an other question to the bistro template. I don´t understand the logic of the background images. I paste new ones with the same size in templates>stile>layout but they all appear in different high and they are all zoomed in. I didn´t found the css code, where I can change something of this pictures. Please give me a hint!

I have an other question: There is a white empty part between kontakt and the map because there´s no modul in the footer area. How can I provide this?
