[SOLVED] Page assignment for astroid menu

The astroid menu appears on every page which uses the template seemingly without any ability to opt not to show the main menu on certain pages. Does such an option exist and if so where is it found?

This is only possible with your own template style.
Then create a new menu without the corresponding menu links and assign this template style.
