Hello Joomlaplates Team,
The SEARCH module on search-position will only be displayed on the website, when you have also another active module on toolbar-l position, otherwise the seach-module won´t be available. Whithout having the quickstart-IMO page in parallel I guess I would not have found this solution so quickly - and I can imagine that other users could also be confused because of that.
