uploading template, no demo data

well, like i said, joomla newbie.
1) that is not what I understood of the documentation coming with the template
2) that is what I tried to do in the end, and it gave me a mysql issue

thanks for trying to help, but for my alpha brain, I'm going to take the loss on money not well spent.
