Klasse! das war die Ursache.
D.h. ich habe unter 'Custom Code' im Bereich 'Custom CSS' das eingetragene Hintergrund Bild (was einfach ein schwarzer Balken war) gelöscht, indem ich oben angegebenen Code eingegeben habe.

Besten Dank für die Hilfe; Das hätte ich nie alleine gefunden.
