You always have to download the updates from the place where you subscribed and have your account. In your case, that would also be Joomlaplates.com. The backend display always links to the de page, and that's completely irrelevant to you. What's important is the notification that there are new updates.

There will be no automatic updates with installation via the backend. Users should always be aware of what they're doing and not be able to simply perform a backup at the push of a button. This is JP's default approach to this topic, and it won't change. You also don't have to manually update each plugin individually. For this, there's a package available for download that installs all modules at once.
