I have installed the Quickstart Package without any problems.
I have only created a new database and installed Joomla!

Just getting started on making some modifications, and I am unable to edit any article.

For example, when I try to edit the logo, I get the first image attached:

Or if I try and edit the about us, I get the second image. I have cleared the Joomla Cache as well as my browser's cache, but no luck. Any ideas?

I have just cleansed your Joomla cache and it works, see image below
Please delete your Browser cache again.

It looks better as far as the ability to edit an article, but I am no longer seeing the ~6 pages of articles that were there when I was trying to edit before. Now I am only seeing 2 pages of articles, none of which are "Home" "Logo" or any of the like as before.

Ideas?
